We are excited to share the fantastic news from the recent ACGS summer conference.
AWMGS was well-represented with outstanding contributions from our team members, Kieron Millard, Sophie Bannister, and Fiona Kerr.
Kieron Millard received the Best Talk award for his presentation on automating the PVS1 ACMG code. His expertise shone through, and he successfully answered some tricky questions.
Sophie Bannister was awarded Best Poster for her work titled "An Evaluation of the Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) Service in Wales for Pregnancies with Fetal Anomalies on Ultrasound Scan." Her poster effectively highlighted the significance and impact of the NIPT service, making a strong impression on both judges and attendees.
Additionally, Fiona Kerr presented the excellent poster "Implementation of the Pregnancy Related Rapid Sequencing (PRRS) Service in NHS Wales," further showcasing the innovative work being done within our laboratory.
Please join us in congratulating Kieron, Sophie, and Fiona for their excellent work. Their achievements underscore the talent and dedication present in our team and bring great pride to AWMGS. We look forward to their continued contributions and success in the future.
