In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, there are changes to a number of the routine rare disease tests performed by the laboratory. Please note, urgent services are unaffected and all tests are available.


For the majority of routine services, although all tests are available and we will continue to receive and bank samples from all patients, it is possible that testing will not be initiated until we have enough referrals for a given test to process in an efficient manner (batching).   This may lead to extended referral times.  Therefore when sending samples to the laboratory, please clearly indicate if you require the result urgently as urgent testing remains unaffected.
