AWMGS honoured at the Healthcare Science Cymru Conference 2022

Congratulations to our Specialist Rare Disease Service and Familial Cancer team who recently won first and second place respectively for posters submitted to showcase the national lynch testing service and also the Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) service and practical use of polygenic risk scores.

The inaugural conference was officially launched by Welsh Government Minister for Health and Social Care Eluned Morgan on March 16th, to coincide during Healthcare Science Week commencing March 14th.Eluned Morgan
Hosted by the Healthcare Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), the 'Transforming Together' conference aims to highlight the strength we find through collaboration across our profession, along with sharing successes from our services, driving transformational change in the NHS.
Virtual delegates including Chief Scientific Advisor for Health, Dr Rob Orford were treated to a host of inspirational talks from key speakers, including interactive workshops, research and not forgetting the 'improvement poster displays' which AWMGS colleagues won.
